Requirements

A National Senior Certificate / an equivalent plus an appropriate undergraduate qualification (NQF 6) in Public Administration / Management or an equivalent qualification in the relevant field / area as recognized by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA). A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Auxiliary Services. A valid driver’s license except for people with disabilities.

Duties

Render administrative services to the component. Monitor the provision of cleaning services. Monitor the maintenance of grounds. Manage staff within the unit.

Applications must be submitted on a duly completed prescribed Z83 application for employment form (2021 version) obtainable from any public service department or can be downloaded from www.dpsa.gov.za. Applications must be accompanied by a detailed CV. Applicants are not required to submit copies of qualifications and other relevant documents on application except when applying through the erecruitment system. All fields in Part A, Part C and Part D of the Z83 form should be completed. In Part B, all fields should be completed in full. Part E, F & G applicants often indicate “refer to CV or see attached”, this is acceptable as long as the CV has been attached and provides the required information. Applicants with foreign qualifications remain responsible for ensuring that their qualifications are evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Successful incumbent will be expected to sign a performance agreement within one month after assumption of duty. The successful candidate will also be required to disclose his or her financial interests in accordance with the prescribed regulations. All shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a security clearance and verification of qualifications. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. The recommended candidate for appointment will be subjected to Personnel Suitability Check for security reasons. Failure to comply with the above requirements will result in the disqualification of the application. The Department reserve the right not to make any appointment(s) to the posts advertised. The employment decision shall be informed by the Employment Equity Plan of the Department. Correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only.
