Requirements
A Senior Certificate/ National Certificate (Vocational) NQF level 4; plus A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Finance environment. Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required: Basic knowledge of financial functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate a computer and collate financial statistics. Basic knowledge and insight of the public service financial legislations, procedures and Treasury regulations (PFMA, DORA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA, Financial Manual). Basic Knowledge of financial operating systems (PERSAL, BAS, LOGIS etc). Knowledge of legislative framework. Basic Knowledge of Work Procedures. Job knowledge. Good verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal relations skills. Flexibility skills. Teamwork. Computer Literacy. Planning and organisation skills. Language skills. The ideal candidate must be innovative, independent, time frame driven, meticulous, have the ability to maintain confidentiality and be proactive. He/she must be honest, have integrity, be reliable, patient, committed, professional, have perseverance and be punctal.
Duties
Render financial accounting transactions. Facilitate procurement of goods and services for the Chief Directorate. Render budget support service. Perform bookkeeping support services and preparations of reports and submissions. Supervise human resources/staff.
