Requirements

An undergraduate Bachelor of Commerce in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification at NQF level 7 as recognized by SAQA. Three- years' related financial / asset experience at supervisory level. Knowledge and Skills: Treasury Regulations, National Asset Management guide and Framework, Public Service Regulations, PFMA, PMDS, Public Service Regulations, PFMA, PMDS, Public Service Act, Batho Pele Principles, Communication and interpersonal skills, Problem solving skills, Computer skills, Numeracy skills, Literacy skills, Analytical thinking, Supervisory skills, Extensive knowledge of Logistical Information System (LOGIS).

Duties

Management of quarterly and annual physical assets verifications. Management of assets additions and disposals. Management of donations to and by the Department. Updating of the Departmental Asset Register to ensure reliability and completeness. Monitoring and supporting facilities with asset management related matters. Manage the disposal and destruction of expired pharmaceuticals and medicine. Management of resources. Management of staff within the component. Performance of staff within the component. Management of leave of staff within the component.
