Requirements

Prospective candidates should be in possession of a three-year Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF level 7) in Public / Business Administration /Financial Management or equivalent qualification. A relevant post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage and be proactive, effective with ability to work in a diverse team. Experience of three (3) to five (5) years in education and training and skills to provide support to a relevant project will be strongly recommended. Apart from project management, the candidate should have financial management backed by at least three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in project grants local and international donor funds management at junior management level. A qualification in Financial Management is an added advantage. In addition, the successful candidate must have proficiency in MS Office Packages as well as communication and report writing skills.

Duties

The successful candidate will primarily be required to: Assist in the coordination, management, monitoring and evaluation of the grants and donor funded projects. Assist in compiling quarterly semester performance reports on projects funded by grants and donors. Assist in ensuring strict adherence to reporting procedures of projects and deadlines. Assist in the coordination, management, monitoring and evaluation of the grants and donor funded projects. Provide administrative support to grants and other donor funded project committees for the post school sector. Develop and maintain the database on various projects. Evaluate projects proposals and appraise Business Plans for the effective and efficient utilization of project funds. Manage the interface with different stakeholders of the DHET at the required level. Perform other duties delegated from time to time in the Directorate. N.B. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity.
