A recognised NQF 6 qualification in Public Management / Public Administration/ Tourism Management / Human Resource Development. A minimum of Three to Four (3-4) years of relevant experience in the appropriate environment, with at least 2 years at a Senior practitioner level. The candidate should have strong knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures. Financial delegations. Project management. Financial Management Act. Professionalisation. Skills: Good communication skills, both writing and verbal. Good organising and planning skills. Creativity. Facilitation skills. Leadership skills. A valid driver’s licence (Persons with disabilities that prevent them from driving will still be considered).
Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a culture of excellence, including the professionalisation; Identifying relevant stakeholders; Managing the maintenance of an updated stakeholder database; Facilitating secretariat responsibilities for engagements; Coordinating continued professional development; Facilitating the establishment of working groups or task teams to create synergy on the implementation of skills programmes; Providing monthly and quarterly programme progress report updates; Developing SLAs and MOAs for potential partners and service providers; Collaborating with relevant bodies, introduce mechanisms to facilitate the introduction of an RPL system within the tourism sector; Creating oversight mechanism for government programmes; Coordinating of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) in the tourism sector human resource development; Developing a project plan for implementation of the RPL skills training programme; Conducting quality assurance of documents received from service providers e.g. reports and invoices; Conducting onsite monitoring of projects/programme under implementation; Report progress of RPL skills training implemented by appointed service provider/s.
