A qualification at NQF level 7, as recognised by SAQA, in Information and Knowledge Management, Records Management, Information Sciences or Data Sciences PLUS 3-5 years’ experience at junior management level in the relevant field. Knowledge and understanding of Public Service Act and Regulations. Knowledge and understanding of Social Development Sector. Knowledge and understanding of Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), and Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Knowledge and understanding of National Archives and Records Service Act. Knowledge and understanding of the DPSA Corporate Governance of ICT Policy Framework. Knowledge and understanding of e-government, information management and content management policies. Knowledge and understanding of PFMA and Treasury Regulations. Knowledge and understanding of Promotion of Administrative Justice Act (PAJA). Knowledge and understanding of MISS. Knowledge and understanding of Copyright Act. Knowledge and understanding of Legal Deposit Act. Knowledge and understanding of data management principles and tools. Competencies needed: Communication (verbal and written) skills. Duties
Develop, review and implement business intelligence, knowledge and information policies, guidelines, norms and standards. Facilitate and coordinate public access to information in line with the applicable prescripts. Facilitate and coordinate protection of personal information in line with the applicable prescripts. Manage and maintain the organisational Knowledge Resource Centre. Manage and report on human resources, and performance in line with the set regulations and prescripts.
