Requirements

An appropriate NQF Level 6 in Public Management / Administration / Procurement / Finance / Transport and Logistics Management with 1 year relevant experience in travel procurement, finance or payment and reconciliation environment. Knowledge And Skills: Communication /written (minute taking, correspondence, reports), Computer literacy, (Microsoft, Internet, Email), Financial management, PFMA and Treasury Regulation, Travel Policy for Department, thorough understanding of prescripts within government. Communication. Good written and verbal abilities, Ability to communicate with all officials at all levels, Have a positive, open, friendly disposition in all communications, Confident.

Duties

Reconcile travel account (Air Transport, Accommodation, CarRental, and Shuttle); Perform payment of accounts; Attend to and resolve queries on Payments; Identify irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure. batches.

Successful completion of the Nyukela Public Service SMS Pre-entry Programme as endorsed by the National School of Government, available as an online course on https://www.thensg.gov.za/training-course/sms-pre-entry-programme/, prior to finalisation of appointment, is a requirement for all SMS positions. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. All qualifications, criminal and SA citizenship checks will be conducted on all short-listed candidates and, where applicable, additional checks will be conducted in line with the new DPSA Directive effective 01 April 2024.
