Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Staff Nurse. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Staff Nurse. Experience: Grade1: None Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years recognisable nursing experience as a Staff nurse after registration with the SANC Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years recognisable experience as an enrolled nurse after registration with the SANC. Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work shifts, night duty, weekends and public holidays as well as overtime. Ability to lift and turn patients, stand long hours and lift heavy equipment. Willingness to rotate between departments. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to interpret basic clinical signs and symptoms. Knowledge of Nursing Practices and IPC, control measures and practices. Good communication skills. Basic Computer Literacy. Self-discipline.
Duties
Development and implementation of basic patient care plans. Provide basic clinical nursing care. Effective utilisation of resources. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.
