Requirements

Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification). Competencies: Basic knowledge of the following: Supply Chain Management duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics; Understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service; Work procedures in terms of the working environment; insight of the Public Service financial legislations, processes and procedures, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions; Basic operating systems such as Personnel and Salary System (PERSAL), Basic Accounting System (BAS), Logistical Information System (LOGIS). Skills in the following: Good Verbal and Written Communication; Planning and Organising; Customer Care; Reporting; Problem-solving; Creative Thinking; Decision Making; Willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines; Ability to work under pressure.

Duties

Render acquisition clerical support services; Render clerical support with the coordination, review and compilation of a list of prospective providers for quotations; Render clerical support with the coordination, review and source of quotations from database according to the threshold values determined by National Treasury; Provide personnel administration and clerical support services within the component.
