In short: KFC South Africa has no WhatsApp number for job applications. Its restaurants advertise vacancies and take applications on the official KFC Careers site, kfcjobs.mcidirecthire.com, which is linked from the KFC website. You register free with your name, e-mail address and a password, then apply for restaurant jobs near you. Applying costs nothing, and KFC does not ask you to share posts in Facebook groups to get a form. Any "KFC WhatsApp number for jobs" is a scam using the KFC name.

"KFC WhatsApp number for job application" is one of the searches that comes up next to Hungry Lion and Shoprite, because the fake posts use all three brands the same way. Here is how KFC actually hires.

Does KFC Have a WhatsApp Number for Jobs?

No. The KFC Careers site mentions no WhatsApp number, and Africa Check, which has investigated several fake "KFC Jobs" pages, found that KFC recruits through that dedicated site and does not advertise jobs on its Facebook page. A page that tells you to message a cellphone number, or to comment "YES", or to share a post in ten groups to get an application form, is not KFC.

The Official Way to Apply

Official KFC Careers site

kfcjobs.mcidirecthire.com

Run for KFC on the MCI Direct Hire platform. Restaurant and support centre vacancies. Free to register.

  1. Open the KFC Careers site
  2. Click Register and enter your first name, last name, e-mail address and a password
  3. Open Restaurant Vacancies and filter by job title, job type and location
  4. Apply for the posts near you
  5. Log back in to check and manage your applications

The address looks unusual because it is hosted by MCI Direct Hire, the recruitment platform KFC uses, rather than on kfc.co.za. That is normal. What is not normal is a link to a sites.google.com page: Africa Check found fake KFC job pages built with Google Sites, which anyone can make for free.

JOBJACK: Some KFC franchisees also recruit on JOBJACK. JOBJACK publishes a case study on Kwa-Pele Foods, a KFC franchisee with more than 60 restaurants. A KFC vacancy on JOBJACK is genuine; see our JOBJACK review.

The Fake "KFC Is Hiring" Posts

The pattern Africa Check has documented: a Facebook page with a name like "Part-Time December Jobs SA" posts "KFC is hiring, no experience needed", and tells you to message the page, comment on the post, or share it in groups before you get the form. The "form" then collects your ID number, or the chat ends with a request for a fee.

Hold on to the one rule that beats every version: a real employer pays you. You never pay to be hired.

Common Questions

What is the KFC WhatsApp number for job applications?

There is none. KFC South Africa does not take job applications on WhatsApp. Its restaurants advertise vacancies on the official KFC Careers site, kfcjobs.mcidirecthire.com, which is linked from the KFC website. Any "KFC WhatsApp number for jobs" in a Facebook post is not KFC's.

How do I apply for a job at KFC?

Open kfcjobs.mcidirecthire.com, choose Restaurant Vacancies, and register with your first name, last name, e-mail address and a password. Then search by job, type and location, and apply for the posts near you. You can log back in to manage your applications.

Do I need an e-mail address to apply at KFC?

Yes. The KFC Careers site registers you with an e-mail address and password, and it uses that address to contact you. If you do not have one, a free Gmail or Outlook address works; create it yourself rather than letting a "recruiter" make one for you.

Does KFC charge a fee to apply?

No. Registering and applying on the KFC Careers site is free, and KFC does not ask applicants to share job posts in Facebook groups to get an application form. Anyone asking you to pay to get a job, or to share posts first, is running a scam.

Some KFC restaurants use JOBJACK. Is that real?

Yes, for some franchisees. JOBJACK publishes a case study on Kwa-Pele Foods, a KFC franchisee running more than 60 restaurants, which recruits through JOBJACK. A KFC vacancy on JOBJACK is fine; a KFC vacancy on a WhatsApp number or a Google Sites page is not.
