Requirements
Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as subjects passed; A valid driving license (Code B or higher). Competencies: A good understanding of the following: Financial functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate financial statistics; Public Service financial legislations, procedures and processes, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), 1999,(DORA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA, Financial Manual); Financial operating systems and data base management; Skills needed: Computer literacy (MS Office); Planning and organising; Good verbal and written communication; Basic Numeracy; Ability to capture data and collate financial statistics; Ability to operate office equipment and Ability to work under pressure.
Duties
Render Financial Accounting transactions: Process financial claims in accordance with applicable prescripts and ensure all supporting documentation is complete and accurate; Maintain and reconcile ledger accounts to ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions; Perform Bookkeeping support services: Accurately capture all financial transactions into the relevant financial operating systems; Clear suspense and ledger accounts timeously by investigating and resolving reconciling items.
