ADMINISTRATION CLERK: FINANCE/ADMIN

Requirements

Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or Equivalent) with Matric and/or Accountancy as a passed subject and/ or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s) of the post.” Experience: Appropriate experience in a Finance environment and BAS. Inherent requirements of the job: Valid (Code B/EB) drivers’ license. Willingness to work overtime. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to work independently, yet as part of a team. Computer skills in (MS Office: Word and Excel). Knowledge of PFMA, Finance Instructions Provincial Treasury Regulations.

Duties

Control, verify, capture journals and report Assets and Liability accounts. Compile and capture payments on BAS. Control, verify and follow up on debt accounts according to prescripts. Handle and replenishment of Petty Cash. Ensure effective and efficient compliance with sundry payment regulations. Reconciliation of supplier’s statements and recordkeeping of documentation. Assist in monthly IFS and AFS reporting.
