Requirements
An appropriate 3-year B-Degree in Financial Management at NQF level 7 (equivalent or higher). A minimum of 3 years of relevant supervisory experience. Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National Treasury Regulations and Provincial Treasury Instructions; Public Service Act, 1994, as amended; Basic Conditions of Employment Act; Relevant systems (Basic Accounting System and Logistical Information System); Understanding of public service accounting procedures, processes and systems; Performance management in general. Skills needed: Written and verbal communication; Proven computer literacy; Numeracy and literacy; Project Management; Accounting and Financial Management; People Management.
Duties
Collection and recording of revenue: Cashier, banking service and electronic payments; Claims management; Monitoring and reporting on revenue; Expenditure management: Compensation of employees; Goods and services; Transfers and subsidies; Reporting; Supervise employees to ensure an effective financial accounting service; Assist with inputs of Financial Statements.
