Requirements

Degree or National Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or relevant qualification plus at least 3- 5 years’ experience in Logistics as a supervisor (SL8). LOGIS training. Computer literate. Valid driver’s licence. Competencies And Attributes: Knowledge of PFMA Section 38 (1), Treasury regulations, White Paper on Corrections (applicable sections), DCS strategic plan (A1), Public Service regulations, HRD policies/procedures and skills development act, Act 97 of 1998. PASM/PAS and Web asset tool. PFMA (Act No 1 of 1999 as amended by act 29 of 1999) Section 38(1). Supply chain management guide for accounting officers, Section 6. Provisioning Administration System Manual (PASM). Financial administration procedures – Manual 4. Annual operational plan of the Directorate: Logistics. Analytical thinking. Honest, integrity and committed. Liaison (internal/external). Ability to use office administration tools. Capability to manage statistics on a computerized database.

Duties

Compile and coordinate operational training plan. Schedule training needs for ad hoc Logistics training. Facilitate the formulation, development and maintenance of operational training material. Coordinate and provide training information and advice to relevant stakeholders. Management of human resources, finance and assets. Management of performance information.
