ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: PUBLIC FINANCE MANAGEMENT ACT (PFMA)

Requirements

A three-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) in Auditing/ Accounting/ Compliance or Risk Management. A Postgraduate Diploma in Compliance will be an added advantage. 3–5 years’ experience in the Accounting/ Risk Management/ Compliance, and or Auditing environment at an administrative functional level. Demonstrated ability to apply governance frameworks, interpret legislation, and support organisational. Understanding of PFMA, Treasury Regulations and relevant legislations.

Duties

To monitor, evaluate and report compliance with the provisions of PFMA and Treasury Regulations within GPG Departments. Provide guidance for the development of a compliance universe and the categorization of acts within it for the GPG departments. Assist in reviewing and finalizing Compliance Risk Management Plans (CRMP). Assist with the implementation of CRMP action plans monitored and tracked. Assist with tracking and monitoring the implementation of Compliance Risk Management Action plans and the AGSA Audit recommendations for GPG Departments. Coordinate PFMA requests by providing advice to the Head of Department through a formal letter. Provide training to GPG Departments as requested or as identified by the unit: Management of the unit.
