Requirements

An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (or equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Competencies: Knowledge of the following: government strategic planning, monitoring, reporting, processes; departmental operation; policies of the government of the day; with specific reference to the provincial growth and development strategy of the Western Cape; global, regional and local political, economic and social affairs impacting on the provincial government of the Western Cape; experience with the legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices that have a bearing on the line function; understanding of project management; understanding of policy development, and operational management, monitoring and review processes; understanding of public finance, human resources and discourse management processes; and understanding of performance management in general.

Duties

Coordinate and facilitate the Departmental participation in developing strategic and operational planning processes. Coordinate and facilitate the Department's performance and reporting processes. Coordinate and compile the departmental service delivery improvement initiatives, including DPSA and Public Service Commission compliance. Managerial Functions: Operational management; People Management.
