Requirements
Senior Certificate/Matric or Grade 12 An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Clinical Psychologist. Current registration with the Health Professions Council (HPCSA) as a Clinical Psychologist. Experience For Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA. Knowledge and Skills: Appropriate clinical knowledge & experience in the field of Clinical Psychology; Psychotherapy, assessment, counselling. Analytical report writing skills. Knowledge of current health and public service legislation, regulations and policies. Sound knowledge of professional ethics. Research, teaching, time management and training skills.
Duties
Provide supervision to Intern Clinical Psychologists and participation in intern academic programme. Provide psychological service delivery at hospital level. Participate in hospital teams/committees. Support hospital activities related to mental health. Supervise work of the psychometrists in the hospital. Implement community outreach programmes. Assist in training for primary health care professionals.
