Grade 12. A 3-year relevant qualification in Community Development / Development Studies or Social Science. Computer literacy. A valid driver’s license. Community Development research. Understanding community development legislation. Planning and organising; Networking skills; Communication (written and verbal); Project Management; Team leadership. People management. Conflict management. Project management. Financial Management. Keeping abreast with new developments in the community development fields to enhance service delivery. Knowledge of policies and legislative mandates related to Community Development.
Duties
Implementation of legislation and policies to assist with interventions in wards where people interact with environments to promote self-empowerment. Liaise and interact with various community development structures to facilitate collaboration and to establish partnership to ensure sustainability of development actions within the community. Keep up to date with new developments in the Community Development field to enhance service delivery.
