Requirements

An NQF level 7 qualification in Accounting, Financial Management or Cost Management as recognized by SAQA. Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience at a middle or senior management level. SMS Pre-Entry (Nyukela) Certificate upon appointment. Valid driver’s license with exception of person with disability. Core & Process Competencies and Skills: Strategic Capability and Leadership. People Management and Empowerment. Programme and Project Management. Financial Management. Change Management. Knowledge Management. Service Delivery Innovation. Problem Solving and Analysis. Client Orientation and Customer Focus. Communication. Functional computer literacy – MS Word. Excel. PowerPoint and Outlook. In-depth knowledge of government transversal systems like BAS and PERSAL.

Duties

Co-ordinate the provision for salaries and wages. Co-ordinate the management of payroll. Co-ordinate transfers and subsidies. Co-ordinate the management of expenditure. Oversee the payment of creditors. Oversee the management of sundry and expenditure. Oversee the management of capital expenditure. Co-ordinate expenditure reporting which includes amongst others compile interim/annual financial statements and monthly In-Year Monitoring (IYM) reports.
