DRIVER MESSENGER

Requirements

Grade 10 or equivalent qualification with at least 1-year relevant experience. A valid driver’s License. Knowledge of cities in which the function will be performed. PDP will be an added advantage. Knowledge and Skills Understanding of expectations of customers, Computer skills, Planning and organization, Language and Driving.

Duties

Drive light and medium motor vehicle to transport passengers and deliver other items eg. (mail other files, documents, parcels). Conduct routine maintenance on the allocated vehicle and report defects timely. Ensure vehicle licences, service schedules and safety equipment are up to date. Complete all the required and prescribed records and logbooks with regards to the vehicle and the goods handled. Collect and deliver documentation and related items in the department. Copy, scan and fax documents. Assist in the registry.

All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity.
