National Senior Certificate/Matric Certificate/Grade 12 with a three-year degree/National Diploma (NQF 6) as recognised by SAQA in Arts and Culture Studies// Arts Management/ Fine Arts/ Performing Arts. Bachelor of Arts /Social Science majoring in one of the following or related fields Music, Dance & Drama, Visual Arts, Film. majoring in one other following or related fields: Langue, Music, Dance, Speech & drama, Visual Arts, Film or any relevant field of study. Previous experience in arts administration, event planning, or related fields. Knowledge of arts and culture structures and funding institutions. Strong interest in arts, culture, and community engagement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Creativity and willingness to contribute ideas. Be a South African citizen. Must have no criminal record. Applicants must be unemployed and never participated in an internship programme previously.
Duties
Assist with the development of concept documents. Assist in development of budget and implementation of operational plan. Assist with planning and coordination of arts and cultural events, exhibitions, or festivals. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, drafting correspondences, and maintaining databases, organise meeting and minutes taking. Engage with artists, performers, and community partners as needed.
