Requirements

An undergraduate qualification in Occupational Health and Safety/ Health and Safety/ Safety Management/ Environmental Management/ Environmental Health at NQF Level 6 as recognized by SAQA. No experience required (Never participated in any Internship Programme (both Public / Private sector). Knowledge: Public Service Regulations (PSR). Public Service Act (PSA). Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA). Labour Relation Act (LRA). Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Public Finance Management. Act (PFMA). Code of Ethics. Batho Pele Principles. Safety procedure guidelines. Fire equipment standards prevention. Procedures. Disaster Management. All Labour Legislations. Skills. People Management. Problem Solving. Presentation Planning and Organizing Analytical skills. Communications. Computer Literacy. Report Writing. Creativity.

Duties

Assist in maintaining Health, Safety and Security of Staff in all UIF buildings. Assist in monitoring the implementation of the requirements for SHE (Safety Health and Environment) Programme. Assistant in verifying Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Risk assessments. Participate in OHS Investigations at UIF buildings.
