Requirements

Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant. Experience: Grade 1: None Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Nursing Assistant with the SANC. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Nursing Assistant with the SANC. Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work after hours when needed. Willingness to assist at the other clinics in the Sub-district when needed. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication skills. Self- discipline and motivation.

Duties

Assist patients with activities of daily living which include patient hygiene, nutritional status, mobility and elimination needs. Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Effective utilization of resources. Maintain professional growth, ethical standards and self-development. Record keeping.
