STATE ACCOUNTANT

Requirements

A National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Financial Management or Financial Information Systems. One (1) year relevant experience. Knowledge and understanding of financial legislation, policies, practices and procedures. Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology related frameworks. Knowledge of SAP authorizations and governance risk and compliance system. Knowledge of equal opportunities and affirmative action guidelines and laws. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems. Departmental policies and procedures. Knowledge of learning and teaching procedures and techniques. Framework for managing performance information. Knowledge of implementing policies on PMDS. Problem solving and analysis. People and diversity management. Client orientation and customer focus. Good communication skills both (verbal and written). Accountability and ethical conduct.

Duties

Obtain SAP access request forms from users. Check the forms to ensure that they are approved. Create user profiles on the system. Assign users to user profiles. Collect user list in all user group information. Allocate the users to relevant user groups. Receive users access request forms. Ensure user access forms are signed. Assign access to users. Run risk analysis reports. Inform management about the risk. Facilitate risk acceptance sign offs. Ensure that relevant documents are available before approving access requests. Do difficult enquiries on the system. Request reports. Perform month end controls.
