Requirements

A Senior Certificate / National Certificate (Vocational) NQF Level 4. Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required: Knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures pertaining to the public sector. Knowledge of service delivery programmes. Computer Literacy. Knowledge of departmental reporting structures. Knowledge of procurement procedures and processes. Knowledge of Delegation of Authority. Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and Financial regulations. Knowledge of BAS. Knowledge of practice notes. Knowledge of voucher control procedures. Knowledge of general admin procedures. Knowledge of Asset Management. Knowledge of Losses/ theft procedures. Knowledge of HARDCAT system. Basic knowledge of supply chain duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data and collect statistics. Basic knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service. Basic knowledge of work procedures in terms of the working environment. Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Innovation and creativity skills. Problem solving skills. Negotiation skills. Numeracy skills. Literacy skills. Planning, organising, and coordinating skills. The ideal candidate should have good interpersonal relations, be honest and have integrity, be reliable, open and transparent. He/she should be respective to ideas and suggestions.

Duties

Render asset management clerical support. Render demand and acquisition clerical support. Render logistical support services.
