Requirements

Grade 12, An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in Ultrasound Radiographer / Sonography. Current registration with the HPCSA for 2026/2027. Grade 1: No experience after registration with HPCSA as an Independent Ultrasound Radiographer / Sonography. Grade 2: Minimum of ten (10) year's experience after registration with HPCSA as an Ultrasound Radiographer/ Sonography. Grade 3: Minimum of twenty (20) year's experience after registration with HPCSA as an Ultrasound Radiographer / Sonography. Knowledge And Skills: Good communication and interpersonal relation skills. Ability to work under pressure. Computer Literacy will be an added advantage.

Duties

Ultrasound department operational management. Plan, organize and supervise the provision of sonography services according to the vision and mission statements of the department of health. Provide professional advice on issues pertaining to policies and legislation pertaining to health. Compilation of monthly statistics and stock control. Ensure compliance with PFMA, national core standards and departmental policies and regulations. Problem solving and complaints management. Ensure that health and safe work systems are maintained and that all possible steps are taken to prevent accidents and reduce hazards to occupational health. Liaise with doctors for ultrasound requests. Provide diagnostic ultrasound imaging and reporting always. Ensure Quality Assurance equipment protocols are in place.
