Qualifications and Experience: A National Senior Certificate plus Basic R425 qualification (Diploma / Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council [SANC] as a Professional Nurse. Post basic qualification in Nursing Education registered with the SANC. Current registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse in Nursing Education. Experience for Grade 1: A minimum of four [4] years appropriate / recognizable nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. Experience for Grade 2: A minimum of 14 years appropriate / recognizable nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing and at least ten [10] years of the period referred to above must be appropriate / recognizable experience in Nursing Education after obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification in Nursing Education. Computer literacy including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Virtual meeting platforms literacy. A valid driver's license except for people with disabilities Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of procedures and processes related to nursing. Good Communication, leadership, management, problem solving, presentation, research, basic financial and human resource management skills. Good interpersonal relations. Personal Attributes: Integrity and professionalism. Attention to detail and accuracy. Accountability and reliability. Proactive and results oriented. Calm under pressure and adaptable to change. Respectful and diplomatic with stakeholders. Team player. Committed to continuous learning and Batho Pele principles.
Duties
Provide education and training for student nurses. Facilitate learning of students. Accompany students in clinical areas.
