Requirements

National Senior Certificate Plus National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or B. Degree (NQF level 7 as recognized by SAQA) in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Purchasing Management/ Financial Management/Public Management/Purchasing Management, Financial Management with at least 1 - 2 years relevant experience within a Supply Chain Management environment, logistics, stores, Provisioning Administration. Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, PPPFA, Treasury Circulars, and instruction notes relating to SCM Management. Computer literacy. Knowledge of transversal systems BAS and LOGIS (LOGIS certificate is compulsory and will be required on or before the interview date). Knowledge of Batho Pele principles. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work. Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Management Framework. Computer Literacy. Excellent Communication Skills. Interpersonal Skills. Understanding of prescripts. Conflict Management, problem-solving, people management skills. Excellent administrative, coordination and organizational skills. A valid driving license (Code 8) is required.

Duties

Management of Logistics and Stores in accordance with departmental policies and applicable prescripts. Management of Inventory and stock control. Management of receipt, storage and distribution of goods. Provide sound logistic Administration. Ensure compliance with internal controls. Render proper record and information management. Responsible for monitoring, reporting and reconciliation. Render effective asset and resource management, supervision of staff, as well as stakeholder and service delivery support. Provide general administration for the stores and warehouse management unit.
